Meghna Behari finished in the top 10 of the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge. This national contests challenges students to explore scientific concepts and creatively communicate their findings. Meghna created a remote-controlled robot that uses various sensors to test for six water-safety features and transmits the data back to land. The device tests for pH, conductivity, total dissolved solids, oxidation reduction potential, gravity, and salinity.
Meghna's current venture is to create an app that will analyse the data received by her robot to pinpoint where the pollution may exist.
