NA’s JROTC went flying with the 911th USAF Wing, and participated in a Aero Medical Evacuation Training Mission. The flight began with mission and safety briefings and the cadets boarded. The medical personnel had simulated injuries they tended too and loaded the patients. Several cadets were on the flight deck during take-off and landing. We flew over Cleveland area and the cadets were able to experience “black out” conditions as the aircrew went to night vision systems. The cadets were able to utilize the night vision systems and experience sight in total darkness.
The trip was a huge success and an amazing experience for North Allegheny students.
